gs4bThe Android 4.4 KitKat software has since two small updates to it already since it has been launched back in October.  For some, the wait has been grueling as they wonder when their smartphone is about to get updated to the latest version of the Android operating system.  HTC has been very diligent about getting update information out to users that have their most popular smartphones, while companies like Samsung and LG have seemingly been waiting until the last minute to reveal whether or not your device is even on the list.

The Samsung Galaxy S 4 White Frost is available for a reduced sale price now starting at $49.99 – $649.00.

There is no doubt that the Galaxy S4 was on the list since day one, but it comes down to how long companies are going to wait to get the Android 4.4 KitKat software to users.  The Galaxy S4 has been on the radar seriously for about 2 weeks now and according to the latest bit of leaked information, those of you that are on the AT&T network will be getting updated very soon.  According to one online source, the update just get into the testing phases and that is usually one of the last stops before the software is sent out to the public.

The leaked information has appeared on an Android forum, claiming that AT&T is at least getting the update eventually.  AT&T has yet to make any comments to confirm or deny the update at this time, but if a few mobile carriers overseas are expecting it around the end of this month into the early part of next, more information should be coming very soon.  There is an unofficial update out on the web right now, but if you are not familiar with updating your phone files manually, it is highly recommended that you do not update until the official update comes from AT&T.

Samsung has not confirmed anything at this point either and that goes for the International version of the phone. Because the update is not very large, the odds that Samsung just keep quiet until it shows up for users are very good.  The updates for devices that are in the United States will typically come a few weeks after the international models are updated, so those that have been waiting a couple months already can expect to wait up to one more before the update notification arrives.
