lgg2Android 4.4 KitKat has been available for a little less than one month and there are plenty of devices on the list to be upgraded from the Jelly Bean version of Android.  Newer devices like the Galaxy S4, Galaxy Note 3 and a couple of devices from HTC are already on that list with some of the rollouts beginning already, while others could take up to 60 more days to reach users.  In the latest bit of Android 4.4 KitKat news, the LG G2 has been added to the list and details about the new software have been leaked online.

The LG G2, Black for Verizon can be purchased starting at just $49.99 – $649.99 at select retailers.

LG has some very high end devices that deserve to be upgraded to the latest version of Android.  The LG G2 owners have been wondering about the update ever since the Nexus 5 was released last month.  To consumers, the Nexus 5 is like the twin brother to the LG G2 so it was only a matter of time before the new operating system software was to make its way to the smartphone.  LG has not been saying all that much over the course of the last month about the update, but other sources have posted online about some of the details many were wondering about.

The update was initially expected to hit around the end of November, into the first couple weeks of December.  Since that information was a rumor coming in from the hope of LG G2 owners, the official announcement might prove to be something completely different.  According to reports, it looks like those that have the LG G2 can expect to see the Android 4.4 KitKat update early next year.  That might only be one month away, but it will be longer than expected and this new information is also not confirmed by any source from LG.

The LG G2 is going to join the same group as the HTC One that is also expected to get the update sometime in the next month.  Just because many are expecting the update to arrive by the early parts of next month does not mean anything when companies will typically give an entire quarter as an update window.  With that being the likely case here, those that have the LG G2 can expect to see the update as late as the end of March. You can purchased the LG G2 for Verizon at a reduced sale price starting at only one penny.
