With an improved Google Now app, a faster and smoother user interface and improved camera operation, Jelly Bean 4.1 has hit the Droid Razr M 4G. Recently Consumer Reports named Verizon Wireless the top wireless service provider in the US, and that is where the Droid Razr M is running on that company’s 4G LTE network. Motorola gives you a choice in the body color in either black or white, and the engineers at Motorola Mobility designed the phone with almost no bezel, delivering a large 4.30 inch touchscreen with the smallest possible smartphone body.

The Motorola Droid Razr M is available at a discounted price now starting at $0.01.

For instance, the Droid Razr M is a lot shorter and narrower than the original Droid Razr 4G, with the same size screen. The Droid Razr M measures 4.82 x 2.40 x 0.33 inches (122.5 x 60.9 x 8.3 mm), and weighs 4.44 ounces(126 g), light and thin for a 4G smartphone. The edge to edge 4.3 inch qHD Super AMOLED display delivers 40% more screen and smaller body than other phones with a 4.3 inch display, and resolution runs 540 x 960 pixels.

DLNA technology allows you to export your display to an exterior monitor or HDTV, while light and proximity sensors deliver battery saving power, and auto screen brightness adjustment. Those battery conversation efforts help the Droid Razr M 4G deliver a full 20.0 hours of talking time from a single charge, with standby battery power running a generous 17.0 days. The tough Kevlar back plate and aircraft grade aluminum design has returned from previous Droid Razr models, and the handset is protected against scratching with a layer of Gorilla Glass.

The Droid Razr M can work as a central Wi-Fi hub for multiple wireless devices, and Near Field Communications (NFC) support is present out-of-the-box. The handset offers a YouTube video player and built-in media player in its multimedia package, and the popular Picasa application has been pre-installed. The Motorola Droid Razr M 4G for Verizon is currently offered during the Amazon Wireless holiday sale for under $50 on contract, and contains a VGA quality chat cam and 8.0 megapixel camcorder in its camera combo.

The Droid Razr M system chip is a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus MSM8960 model, centered around a dual core 1.5 GHz Krait central processor. A separate Adreno 225 handles all graphics processing, 1.0 GB of RAM system memory is on board, as is 8.0 GB of built-in data storage. For data storage expansion microSD and microSDHC support is offered for external cards up to 32 GB in size. Video capture runs 1,920 x 1,080 pixels (1,080p HD resolution), and Google Search, Google Maps, Gmail and Google Talk applications are present.
