For those anxious smartphone shoppers who don’t want to wait until November 11 to get the new LG Optimus G for the Sprint wireless network in the United States, the handset is offered for pre-order sales at select online at retail outlets. The LG Optimus G is currently planned for a November 11 launch, and delivers a powerful quad core processor, twice the amount of RAM system memory offered by the typical 4G smartphone, one of the highest megapixel camcorders found in the entire mobile marketplace, and Near Field Communications (NFC) support out-of-the-box.

The LG Optimus G is available for pre-order at a reduced introductory price now starting at 149.99.

The handset delivers the Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) 4.0 operating system, and is slim at 0.33 inches (8.45 mm). The LG Optimus UI v3.0 Android overlay is also present, accepting standard multitouch, capacitive gestures for device navigation. Google is present throughout the phone with the Chrome for Android web browser, Gmail, Car Home and Google Maps with Navigation applications pre-installed, and at 4.70 inches, the True HD IPS+ display delivers WXGA quality viewing.

Offered at a high-end pixel density of 318 pixels every inch, that IPS LCD screen boasts an overall display resolution of 1,280 x 768 pixels. More than 16 million colors are present in visual displays, and the Corning Gorilla Glass protective overlay even extends to the back of the handset, guarding against chips and scratches. Standard light and proximity sensors deliver auto brightness adjustment and battery conservation.

The cell on the LG Optimus G 4G is a 2,100 mA model, and the 13.0 hours of talk time it delivers from a single charge is better than the 4G industry average. The microchip package on board the handset is a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 suite, with a quad core Krait central processor at its core delivering speeds of 1.5 GHz. The Adreno 320 GPU focuses exclusively on all graphics processing, and 2.0 GB of RAM system memory is on board, as well as 32 GB of built-in data storage.

Built into the back of the handset is a 13.0 megapixel camcorder with autofocus, white balance presets, burst mode, special effects package and voice activation, and that rear snapper records video in 1,920 x 1,080 pixels (1,080p HD). A front facing 1.3 megapixel chat cam offers portrait snapshots and video call support, and a built-in music player benefits from Dolby Mobile sound enhancement. Popular applications YouTube and Picasa have been pre-installed, and the LG Optimus G for Sprint provides video out through DLNA wireless connectivity.

You can pre-order the LG Optimus G now starting at 149.99.
