LG Optimus G is a quad core smartphone with double the average 4G smartphone RAM system memory, as well as one of the highest megapixel counts for a mobile handset camcorder. The handset is currently slated to launch November 11 on the Sprint 4G LTE system in the United States, with pre-order sales being offered at select online retail outlets. Sprint has pre-installed their Sprint ID application, which allows you phone customization using preselected apps and widgets.

The LG Optimus G is available for pre-order now starting at 149.99.

Sprint currently has 59 profile packs in their Sprint ID app, and you simply choose the application package which provides the profile you are looking for. For example, sports are offered in the ESPN and Fantasy Football profile IDs, and music lovers can select CMT for country music and MTV for pop music enjoyment. The quad-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 provides a powerful engine for the brand-new 4G LTE network Sprint launched a little more than a month ago in the United States, and the 2.0 GB of RAM system memory is double the average offering of a typical 4G smartphone.

Continuing in the hardware package we find 32 GB of built-in, user accessible data storage, the most offered by any smartphone, and also an Adreno 320 GPU which focuses exclusively on graphics processing. The LG Optimus G for Sprint also delivers approximately 60% better than the average talk time from a single battery charge, at 13.0 hours. Slim at 0.33 inches (8.45 mm) in thickness, the Optimus G delivers the Android Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) 4.0 operating system out-of-the-box, coupled with the LG Optimus UI v3.0 Android overlay.

The large 4.70 inch True HD IPS+ display on the LG Optimus G 4G offers a high-end pixel density of 318 pixels per inch, which creates an overall screen resolution of 1,280 x 768 pixels for WXGA quality viewing. That display is covered with a protective layer of Corning Gorilla Glass which extends to the back of handset, offering scratch and chip protection. Visuals are rendered in more than 16 million separate colors, and standard capacitive, multitouch gestures are supported.

Built into the back of the handset is a 13.0 megapixel camera with built-in LED flash, burst mode, special effects package and voice activation features. That camcorder is capable of recording video in 1,920 x 1,080 pixel resolution (1,080P HD), and is joined in the camera combo by a front facing 1.3 megapixel chat cam. Dolby Mobile sound enhances the built-in music player and a YouTube video player has also been pre-installed, as has Near Field Communications (NFC) wireless support.

Pre-order the LG Optimus G now starting at 149.99.
