The device is offered beginning around $179 and delivers free 3G wireless connectivity. There are no monthly contracts or fees, and you do not have to track down Wi-Fi hotspots. The glare-free screen on the new Kindle Paperwhite improves readability in direct sunlight, and the new patented front-lit design allows you to read comfortably for hours.

The Kindle Paperwhite also carries a battery charge indefinitely, providing a full eight weeks of reading after a full charge. This new Kindle Paperwhite carries the same dimensions as last year’s version, but is actually 2/10 of an ounce lighter. Text sizes and fonts are adjustable, and you can add notes in the margins of any books you read, then edit, delete and export those notes, and highlight important passages. Instantly share meaningful quotes and other information via Facebook and Twitter, on a form factor that is lighter and thinner than a paperback. Amazon automatically backs up your Kindle library in its cloud so you never have to worry about losing your books. The Kindle Paperwhite comes integrated with the New Oxford American Dictionary, boasting over 250,000 entries and definitions.
