Just recently, rumors about the existence of the HTC One X+ started floating around with the handset being touted as the successor of the HTC One X. In fact, the rumored handset has had its share of digital ink these past couple of days with its specs sheet getting leaked and several blurry mug shots making their way to the internet to give an idea as to what the rumored handset looks like. We even heard that the handset already visited with the FCC to get some certification done. However, HTC remains coy and is keeping mum regarding the matter.

The HTC One X is on sale now starting at 79.99.

As for the leaked specs sheet of the handset, the HTC One X+ is said to come with an NVIDIA Tegra 3 AP37 chipset under the hood which will bring a quad-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor with a 1.6 GHz clock speed to the device. With this chipset in its internals, the HTC One X+ is expected to retain its quad-core capabilities while packing support for LTE connectivity. This is its supposed advantage over the HTC One X which had to settle for a dual-core QualComm MSM8960 SnapDragon chipset because the quad-core chipset of the original HTC One X did not support AT&T’s LTE network.

If these rumors pan out, then it simply means that the HTC One X+ is a smartphone to be on the lookout for because of its impressive components and capabilities. Because of this, some of our smartphone-crazed brethren are already asking if this is already the end of the line for the HTC One X 4G especially that the Taiwanese smartphone and tablet manufacturer is already rumored to be preparing its successor.

Without further confirmation regrading the existence of the HTC One X+, we can’t say for sure if the One X 4G is about to hit the retirement homes. We can tackle that matter if and when HTC comes out in the open to unveil the supposed HTC One X+ superphone. As of the moment, the One X 4G is still alive and kicking and remains to be one of the handsets to lust after in the smartphone competition. And with the handset getting a huge price cut a couple of days ago, the HTC One X 4G has proven to be one of the best buys in the smartphone market today.

Slated to get a taste of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean in the near future, the HTC One X 4G has a QualComm MSM8960 SnapDragon chipset under the hood to control its operation. The smooth and lag-free performance of the handset is courtesy of its dual-core 1.5 GHz Krait processor and full gigabyte of RAM. The storage space onboard the device is pegged at 16GB and if there is a snag with the HTC One X 4G, this has to be the fact that there is no memory expansion option on the handset. Its display however is one of the best in the industry with its 4.7-inch Super IPS LCD 2 panel with a 1280 x 720 resolution while its camera department boasts of a rear 8MP shooter and a front 1.3MP snapper, both of which are capable of video capture at 1080p and 720p, respectively.

Buy the HTC One X 4G now starting at 79.99.
