droidrazrmIn the world of the large, bulky smartphone, the compact 4G capable Motorola Droid Razr M running on the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE system continues to show sales strength. The handset is consistently found on the Amazon top 20 Best-selling Smartphones list, where it was recently spotted for $0.01 on contract. Providing global access to over 200 countries around the world, the slim and light Android phone can also access EV-DO, Rev A 3G and CDMA 800/1900 frequencies when it cannot pick up a 4G LTE signal.

The lightest, thinnest phone in the new Droid Razr lineup, the handset achieved the smallest possible form factor for a phone with a 4.3 inch display by stretching the screen from edge to edge and corner to corner. This effectively removes the display-surrounding bezel, and places all your attention on the large screen. The Droid Razr M provides the Chrome for Android mobile web browser out-of-the-box, is NFC capable and is powered by the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system.

The handset’s SmartActions application allows you to set rules that kick in when the battery life drops below 30%, effectively squeezing every hour of juice out of the 2,000 mA battery on board. The Droid Razr M 4G charges in under 4 hours, and delivers a battery that’s 40% more powerful than the cell found on the iPhone 5. A full 20.0 hours of talk time can be achieved from a single battery charge, as well as more than 15.0 days of standby battery power.

Verizon has included their Visual Voice Mail feature on the Droid Razr M, which allows you to reply, forward or delete voicemail messages without cycling through the entire list. You can also skip voice instructions, and save up to 40 messages for 40 days. You can also generate up to 10 different caller ID-based greetings. The Droid Razr M adopts previous durability measures found on other Droid Razr devices, including a Corning Gorilla Glass scratch resistant screen, DuPont Kevlar back plate, aircraft grade aluminum framing and water repellent nanocoating.

The compact dimensions mentioned earlier measure 4.82 x 2.40 x 0.33 inches (122.5 x 60.9 x 8.3 mm), and the Droid Razr M 4G weighs 4.44 ounces (126 g). This makes for a lighter, smaller and thinner phone than other 4G phones with the same size display, and the 4.3 inch qHD Super AMOLED screen delivers a 540 x 960 pixel resolution. Video capture runs 1,080P HD with the rear facing 8.0 megapixel camcorder, and the CPU is a dual core Snapdragon 1.5 GHz model.
