Verizon’s Motorola Droid Razr M 4G Gets One Penny Valentine’s Day Price Tag

droidrazrmValentine’s Day is right around the corner, and Amazon is celebrating by lowering the price tag on one of their most popular Verizon smartphones. The Amazon Top 10 smartphone best-sellers list is a place where the Motorola Droid Razr M 4G is frequently found, and where it currently resides in the Amazon Wireless store. Amazon recently dropped the price tag of that handset to $0.01 on contract, making for a very attractive and cheaply priced Valentines Day gift.

The Motorola Droid Razr M is available for a reduced sale price now starting at $0.01.

Running on the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE system in the United States, the handset is capable of speeds from 5 to 12 megabits per second (Mbps) on the downlink, and 2 to 5 Mbps on the uplink while in the Verizon 4G LTE coverage area. That coverage exists in more than 440 major markets in the United States, the largest coverage of the Big 4 wireless providers in the United States. The Chrome for Android mobile web browser has been pre-installed, and the Droid Razr M 4G delivers the Jelly Bean 4.1 Android operating system.

Verizon’s Visual Voice Mail gives you access to all voice mail operations without having to listen to prior messages or await instructions, and also lets you save up to 40 messages for 40 days. You can also create up to a total of 10 separate caller ID-based greetings, allowing you to effectively use your handset for several business and personal applications. You can reply back to voicemail by either calling back, texting or even with a quick voicemail message.

The handset launched on September 10 of last year, and is currently available in either black or white. The Droid Razr M 4G was designed to make for the smallest possible form factor and footprint, and also to weigh less than the typical 4G smartphone which also offers a 4.3 inch display. Significantly shorter and narrower than phones like the original Droid Razr 4G, the Droid Razr M measures 4.82 x 2.40 x 0.33 inches (122.5 x 60.9 x 8.3 mm) and weighs 4.44 ounces (126 g).

By making a nearly invisible bezel on the front of the handset and stretching the display from corner to corner, a smaller footprint and weight was realized. Above average pixel density runs 256 pixels per inch, for an overall display resolution of 540 x 960 pixels. The 4.3 inch qHD Super AMOLED screen delivers more than 16 million separate colors, and a layer of Gorilla Glass protects against scratching and chipping. The handset also offers a speedy dual core processor, 20.0 hours of talk time from a single battery charge, NFC wireless support and high resolution video capture at 1,080P HD.
