motomakerFor those of you that waited around for Verizon Wireless to finally start selling the Moto X on the Moto Maker, you might be a little excited about the latest reports.  According to Verizon, the Moto X via the Moto Maker will be getting a price cut down to just $50 after you sign a new, two-year contract.  The Moto X just launched on the Verizon Wireless network last week and now you can get quite deal for one of the more popular smartphones on the market.

The Verizon Motorola Moto X is also available at a reduced sale price at select online retailers starting at $49.99 at select online retailers.

Looking at other deals for the Moto X, Amazon had one that offered the Verizon Wireless option on its website for just $50, but you were limited to either the black or white models.  Verizon Wireless can now get their own customized version of the Moto X for the same price through the Moto Maker.  The Moto Maker will essentially walk you through the process that it takes to setup all of the customizable parts that your phone will offer.  Most of the options include colors that can be chosen for the back cover, buttons and the trim around the phone.

Motorola claims that they will have more than 2,000 different combinations through the Moto Maker and that each smartphone is made to order with the shipping listed at just 4 days for now.  The $50 price tag is not the best option that we have seen so far, as the Sprint model was listed recently on the Amazon website for just $20.  Having the option to completely customize the colors of the phone are taking consumer’s attention away from the fact that some of the performance specs are lacking.  Motorola knows that smartphone users like to have unique handsets and they are banking on the as the phone is pushed through all of the networks in the United States.

The  Moto Maker makes the Moto X one of the first and most customizable smartphones on the market right now.  Motorola is trying to gain the attention of young smartphone owners with all of the bright color options, as well as those that want decent phone for less.  The Moto X features a 4.7-inch AMOLED display with a 720p resolution.  A 10MP camera on the back side, support for Wi-Fi connections, as well as 4G LTE networks is also included.
