motoxA price change on the US Cellular network is likely to get some attention from consumers as the company just announced that it would be selling the brand new Moto X for just $99 with a new two-year contract.  The price change could only be a limited time promotion, but that was not confirmed by the network, meaning that it could also be a permanent price change for the highly customizable smartphone.  Motorola’s website reads that the phone is “now starting at $99” and that lines up with the price on the Sprint network as well.

The Verizon Motorola Moto X is also available at a reduced sale price at select online retailers starting at $49.99 at select online retailers for an even bigger savings.

On the AT&T network, you can get the customized version of the Moto X for just $99, otherwise other retailers like Amazon have discounted the device as well.  The white or black models are still listed for $199, but they can be made through the Moto Maker customizer if you want something a little different.  Rumors that came around last week indicated that Motorola could be getting ready to launch a new device and some are wondering if that is why we are seeing a change in the price at this time.

Rumors suggest that Motorola is gearing up to release a phablet styled Moto X with a larger display, but for the most part the leaked information has been quiet at this time.  Verizon Wireless has yet to discount the device as it is still listed at $199 on the website, but that does not mean that it will not be chopping the price soon.  If you are on the Verizon Wireless network and are looking for an upgrade to the device, you might want to hold off a couple of weeks just to see if the device gets the discounted price on the largest 4G LTE network.
