motoxThose of you on the T-Mobile network will soon be able to get your hands on the Moto X after months and months of rumors, suggestions and speculation about the device.  Motorola made the announcement this week, saying that T-Mobile subscribers will be able to order the device starting today, but that is only if you want to order it online.  The Moto X is ready to ship from Motorola.com, but if you are one that would like to have your hands on the device before buying, then you might be waiting just a little longer for that opportunity.

The Verizon Motorola Moto X is available at a reduced sale price starting at $149.99 at select online retailers.

One other thing to realize is that the device that is ready to ship from the Motorola.com website is the black, unlocked model only.  Unfortunately, this means that you will be paying full price for the device, but if you want to save a little bit of money with the UnCarrier plans at T-Mobile, you can do so very shortly.  Motorola also announced that it will be launching the white model soon and the unlocked models will be available for just $599.  T-Mobile has yet to make any announcement about the device, but many are expecting it to happen very soon.

Motorola also announced a new video for the Moto X called the “Lazy Phone” ad campaign.  The ad makes fun of smartphones that are “lazy” and does a good job on insinuating that the Moto X would not be one of those phones.  The Moto X was never going to be a high end device, instead, Motorola has mentioned more than one time that the new smartphone would be one designed with a user’s lifestyle in mind.  Some features of the device include Active Display notifications and a ton of voice commands that will keep you from touching the device, making the Moto X very different from what the company developed before being purchased by Google.

Features for the Moto X start with the 4.7-inch AMOLED touch screen display with a 720×1280 resolution and 316ppi pixel density.  On the inside of the new device, you will see that it comes with the Motorola X8, dual-core processor clocked at 1.7Ghz, an Adreno 320 graphics processor and 2GB of RAM.  Internal memory is listed at just 16GB and does not come with a microSD card slot for memory expansion.  A 10MP camera can be found on the back side and also records 1080p HD video at 60 framers per second.

You can purchase the Verizon Motorola Moto X handset at a discounted price tag starting at $149.99.
