In today’s smartphone world, one of the more anticipated handsets to hit the shelves as of the moment is the Samsung Galaxy Note II, the successor to the highly successful first generation Samsung phablet. The Samsung Galaxy Note II has been confirmed to be released by all major wireless providers in US shores but details about its price point and specific release date is sorely missing. But if you are a loyal subscriber of Verizon and are looking to get your hands on the second generation Samsung phablet, we have great news for you.

Verizon has already started accepting preorders for its variant of the Samsung Galaxy Note II. Although there hasn’t been any official announcement coming from the carrier regarding this matter, the official site of Verizon already has the preorders page for the Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II up and running ready to take orders for those who want to the phablet ahead of everybody else.

The Verizon version of the Samsung Galaxy Note II will set you back $299.99 and this comes with the mandatory new two-year service agreement with the carrier. Preorders this might be but some waiting is still involved in the process as the ship date for the Samsung Galaxy Note is set for November 27. A bit later than expected I know but there is no telling if the ship date could still change – we still have to wait for some official announcement from the carrier regarding that.

As for the Samsung Galaxy Note II, its entry to the smartphone competition has officially put its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy Note, out to pasture. Although the original Samsung phablet paved the way for the phablet revolution to start, the Samsung Galaxy Note II expected to strengthen Samsung’s position in the category. In fact, we expect that second generation phablet to be another hit / gold mine for the Korean electronics giant given the anticipation we have been seeing for the device.

This is not surprising at all given the fact that the Samsung Galaxy Note II comes with a very impressive resume and brings even more impressive capabilities to the tablet. Announced back in August and expected to hit US shelves any day now, the Samsung Galaxy Note II is one massive device with its measurements of 151.1 x 80.5 x 9.4 mm and weighs in at 183 grams.

Under the hood, it runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean for its operating system and this draws power from the Exynos 4412 Quad chipset in its internals. This SoC gives the handset a quad-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor clocked at 1.6 GHz and a staggering 2GB of RAM while its storage space is pegged at 16GB. Of course, a user wanting to add more storage to the device can do so by using the dedicated microSD card slot of the handset. Display-wise, the Samsung Galaxy Note II comes with a 5.5-inch SuperAMOLED panel with a 1280 x 720 resolution while its camera department boasts of a rear 8MP shooter and a front 1.9MP snapper.
