As of the moment, most of the handsets in the Android ecosystem, at least those capable enough, are waiting for the update that will crank up their version Android 4.1 Jelly Bean but only a handful so far has gotten the update so far. The HTC Evo 4G LTE smartphone is available with free shipping and a reduced price at select Sprint authorized retailers now starting at 79.99.

However, if rumors pan out, there is a big chance that the HTC EVO 4G LTE released by Sprint in US shores could probably end up as the next handset to get cranked up to Jelly Bean. These speculations came out when a leaked internal document from Sprint recently surfaced and this alleged document from the Now Network intimates that the Jelly Bean refresh is scheduled to start its rollout on November 15.

If this pans out, then the update which will be rolled out via OTA will crank up the firmware version of the HTC EVO 4G LTE to 3.15.651.11 and bump its Android version to 4.1.1. Another leak on the other hand suggested that the Jelly Bean update for the handset is expected to the bring enhancements to the HTC EVO 4G LTE’s Wi-Fi authentication and Calendar Reminders. The update will also allegedly take care of issues on the handset’s personalized ring tones and hyperlink routing from the Calendar to an iPhone app.

Again, all of the things mentioned above are just pure rumor and speculation and everybody is advised to take a grain of salt with this. But if you happen to rock an HTC EVO 4G LTE from Sprint for your mobile weapon of choice, you might also want to be on the lookout for that little notification that will let you now once the update has already landed on your device. If not, you also have the option of manually checking for the update for that matter. If this turns out nothing of consequence, then we go back to the premise that everything as of the moment is based on rumors and pure speculation only.
