gs4-julyWhile Google did not officially debut Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie at their May I/O Conference, several teasers and “Easter eggs” discussing that operating system were seen throughout the event. Since then Google has been quiet concerning when Key Lime Pie will actually make its red carpet arrival, but that has not stopped the smartphone rumor mill and Blogosphere from speculation in that regard. The bestselling Galaxy S4 is believed by many industry analysts and so-called experts to be delivering Android 5.0 before any other smartphone.

The Samsung Galaxy S 4 Black Mist is available for a reduced sale price now starting at $119.99.

The Galaxy S4 is obviously Samsung’s flagship smartphone, so it makes argumentative sense that when Key Lime Pie hits the mobile marketplace, it could very well arrive on that particular handset. Android’s 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system is rumored to be a smaller or minor update, with Android 5.0 delivering a major OS upgrade. And with the fact that the Google I/O conference was home to several slides, brochures and other advertisements hinting about the characteristics of Key Lime Pie, at least we know it is in the works.

Moving forward from that conference in May to present day shows substantial rumors that the Galaxy S III smartphone will receive Android 4.3, and that the Android 5.0 OS will be reserved for the flagship Galaxy S4. With over 20 million handsets sold in less than two months of availability, the Samsung Galaxy S4 is the fastest selling Android smartphone of all time. But with the upcoming arrival of the Galaxy Note 3, Apple iPhone 5S and other handsets, debuting Android 5.0 on the Galaxy S4 would be a smart move by Samsung to protect market share.

And a Galaxy S4 Android 5.0 operating system debut also makes sense according to another loose pattern Google has displayed. The company generally releases one operating system in the warmer part of the year, and then one that later in a colder season. No summer release has ever occurred for an Android operating system past July, so the 5.0 debut needs to hit soon on the Galaxy S4 if there is any truth to this so-called OS launch pattern.

The Galaxy S4 boasts more than 16 million separate colors on its large 5.0 inch screen, and resolution runs high at 1,080 x 1,920 pixels. Pixel density is also extremely high, with 441 color pixels located over each inch of display space. The phone runs on a powerful quad core central processor which has been clocked at 1.9 GHz, and a generous 2.0 GB of RAM memory is on board. The Galaxy S4 running on the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network is currently available for around $119 on contract online.

The Samsung Galaxy S 4 Black Mist can be purchased at a discounted price tag now starting at $119.99.
