lumia928verizonWhen adding the industry standard two-year contract, Amazon is offering the popular Nokia Lumia 928 smartphone for just one penny. This new lower retail price comes as the new Nokia Lumia 1028 hits the mobile marketplace with a 41 megapixel camera. However, the 8.7 megapixel Carl Zeiss Tessar lens on the Lumia 928 is a powerful camera in its own right, and it is hard to argue with a one penny price tag for a 4G capable handset running on the largest and fastest 4G LTE system in the United States.

The Nokia Lumia 928 4G Black is available for a reduced sale price now starting at $0.01.

Verizon now claims more than 440 major markets in the US, and that is where the one penny Nokia Lumia 928 is offered for that one penny on contract retail price. The handset arrived on May 16 of this year, and delivers very high pixel density, a large display, HD+ resolution and an advanced PureView camera. The image processor on the main camera on board the 928 is optimized for optical image stabilization and low light, provides a 1/3 inch sensor, a back illuminated sensor (BSI), and a wide angle f/2.0 floating lens.

The camera also delivers a Xenon flash which offers more power than the typical LED flash, and low light pictures often require no flash at all, because the rear facing camera is so good at capturing any available light. The rear snapper joins a front facing 1.2 megapixel in the handset’s camera combo, with that rear shooter capturing video in 1,920 x 1,080 pixels (1,080P HD resolution) and 30 frames per second.

HAAC (high audio amplitude capture) microphones capture up to 140dB sound (the level of sound an airplane makes during takeoff) without distortion, and the handset offers an advanced loudspeaker which can perfectly recreate that distortion-free sound. The display on board the Lumia 928 runs 4.5 inches, with a resolution of 768 by 1,280 pixels. Pixel density is high at 332 ppi, as is battery performance. The handset can offer up to 16.2 hours of talk time after a full battery charge, as well as 25.2 days of standby battery power.

The Nokia Lumia 928 Windows Phone handset is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus MSM8960 system chip, with a dual core 1.5 GHz Krait CPU as its cornerstone piece. 1.0 GB of RAM system memory is on board, as is a generous 32 GB of built-in data storage space. The Internet Explorer 10 mobile web browser provides instant Internet access out-of-the-box, and support for popular online destinations Facebook and Twitter has been included as well.

The Nokia Lumia 928 4G Black can be purchased for just the change in your pocket now starting at $0.01.
