nexus7lteWith the release of the new Google Nexus 7 II behind consumers, they are now looking forward to the next model that was rumored to be coming right after the initial release of the Wi-Fi only option. The new model, which is going to see the LTE enabled radio for the first time, is going to be released very soon. Those of you that wanted to get the original Nexus 7, but could not get passed the fact that it did not allow for portable use without Wi-Fi can now be ready to make the purchase you have been waiting to a year to do.

The Nexus 7 LTE model release date should be in the “coming weeks” according to reports, but an exact date was not given as usual. Google announced the new Nexus 7 II last month and it was released on the market with pre-orders selling out very quickly all over the place. The device was also released next to the newest version of the Android operating system, version 4.3. The ASUS K009 is the LTE version of the Nexus 7 II and it just passed through the Bluetooth certification just yesterday, so you know that there are only a couple more steps before it is released to the public.

Google posted an update about the LTE model on its website and says that it will be available in the Google Play store, but a date was left out of the information. Having access to the LTE network that most of the mobile carriers offer throughout the United States would mean that users can access and use data on the tablet up to 10 times faster than a traditional 3G connection or lower speed Wi-Fi networks. The odds that the LTE connection is faster than public Wi-Fi are pretty good.

This will open the possibility of the tablet being used by business people that need a tablet on the road with access to LTE no matter where they are. Some are not always in the reaches of a public Wi-Fi connection, so when users are not connected that way, they are covered by whatever network you are connected to. The Google Nexus 7 II comes with a higher resolution display, Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, Android Jelly Bean 4.3 and a 5MP camera on the back side. The tablet will cost about $230 depending on what storage option you go with.
