When the Nexus 7 launched last year it sold very well, but there was one thing that was missing for a certain group of consumers.  That thing was the LTE enabled radio for cellular connection.  The ultra portable tablet was the perfect gift for anyone that did not want the Kindle from Amazon, but having LTE support would have given consumers a reason to buy the product even faster.  Now that we saw the launch of the next generation Nexus 7 a month ago, it is about time to finally add the LTE model to the lineup.

According to reports, the LTE model of the Google Nexus 7 II, will be officially launching on the 13th of September, but it might have already been spotted for sale in at least one retailer overseas.  In Europe, the Google Nexus 7 LTE was seen in Germany and those in the United Kingdom will be able to pre-order the device starting this week.  The Google Nexus 7 II was released back in July of this year and features the 7-inch 1080p HD display, a lightweight design, 5MP camera on the back side along with 4G LTE data speeds.

The upgrades to the second generation tablet give consumers plenty of reasons to check it out and purchase it to replace the original.  The addition of the 5MP camera on the back side was another thing that users missed dearly with the original that only came with a front facing web cam.  Other places that the new LTE model was rumored to be getting released included Italy and Japan, but an exact date was not given, saying only that it would be in September.  Some users reporting to a website online are saying they were able to get a Nexus 7 LTE model from MediaMarket.

Even though it is not clear how much stock some of these places has, the tablet is being purchased by users in some places.  Because the information has not been confirmed by Google at this time it is unclear how many stores the tablet is actually already available in.  In the United States you can buy the Wi-Fi only model in just about every retailer across the country and online.  The LTE model will work with T-Mobile, AT&T and the Verizon Wireless network.
