The phone offers a large display, True HD resolution, a high resolution Full HD capable 10.0 megapixel camera and substantial RAM memory.

The ability to customize the handset includes changing your boot animation as well as the outer appearance of your phone. Motorola also delivers color matching earbuds, and by going with an OLED display, the Active Display notification function praised by Consumer Reports is supported. Another useful, productive and enjoyable feature is the hands-free access that Touchless Control offers on the Verizon Moto X.

A recent update to the software, which is available through a download at the Google Play Store, now allows you to ask your handset, “What’s Up?”, to which your Moto X 4G responds by dictating your most recent unchecked notifications and other important data. To access the Google Now integration with the phone’s natural language processing core which delivers this ability, first say, “Okay, Google Now.” Your phone is now ready to take verbal commands, including the new “What’s Up” request that delivers verbal notifications.

Android 4.4.3 is supported, and the Moto X on Verizon gives you a large 4.7 inch display with a resolution of 720 by 1,280 pixels. A protective layer of Corning Gorilla Glass is found on the front of the phone, and you will receive a minimum of 13.0 hours of run time after a full battery charge. 2.0 GB of RAM is on board, as is 16 GB of built-in closet space and a free 50 GB of Google Drive virtual storage. The 10.0 megapixel snapper on the back of the phone records in a 16 to 9 aspect ratio, at 1,080P HD resolution. Motorola has also included a front facing chat cam, and support for Bluetooth 4.0, wireless Wi-Fi and NFC connectivity options.
