Back in the day when the Motorola Droid Razr M was unveiled a couple of months ago, the handset was running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. However, during the announcement, Motorola let it slip that a speedy upgrade to Android Jelly Bean is waiting for the handset. During that time, a lot of eyebrows were raised because we all know for a fact that Motorola is not an OEM known for being timely in a the release of updates to its lineup of devices.

The Motorola Droid Razr M is available for a reduced Cyber Monday Deal Week price at select authorized online retailers now starting at $0.01.

Motorola was out to prove everybody wrong though. After a successful Jelly Bean soak test, the OEM saw the update already viable for prime time and followed through with the rollout of the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update to the Motorola Droid Razr M a couple of weeks back. This made the handset join the elite ranks of handset already running the second to the latest iteration of the Google mobile operating system.

However, that is not the only thing to love about the Motorola Droid Razr M. There is the fact that the handset comes with an edge to edge display that still gives you that viewing pleasure and yet comes in a more compact chassis. And if you have had the hots for the handset for the longest time but still haven’t found the courage to take the plunge in the hopes of seeing its price point go lower, now is probably the best time to break that piggy bank and get your hands on the Motorola Droid Razr M.

As it stands, Verizon has already given the green light to its authorized retailers to slash the price point of the Motorola Droid Razr M so the handset is now more affordable than ever. Of course, you will still be required to sign a new two-year service agreement with Big Red if you want to take advantage of the Motorola Droid Razr M at its heavily discounted price but that contract should be the least of your worries right now. After all, you are getting a very capable device at just a fraction of its original price point so you are in a win-win situation here, no matter how you look at things.

As for the Motorola Droid Razr M, the handset was unveiled back in September and it made its debut in the shelves during the same month. The circuitry of the handset is built around its QualComm MSM8960 SnapDragon chipset and this SoC brings to the device a dual-core 1.5 GHz Krait processor and a full gigabyte of RAM working together to deliver the computing muscle needed by the Motorola Droid Razr M for its flawless performance. Storage space onboard the handset may be meager at just 8GB but a microSD card slot enables memory expansion on the Motorola Droid Razr M so its measly internal memory shouldn’t be too much of a concern. Display-wise, the Motorola Droid Razr M sports a 4.3-inch SuperAMOLED panel with a 1280 x 720 resolution while its camera department boasts of a rear 8MP shooter and a front VGA snapper.
