When you talk about LTE connectivity in our side of the world, Verizon is still on top with the breadth and width of its coverage. AT&T is on the second spot while Sprint just lit up its LTE network a couple of weeks ago. In the case of Sprint, the carrier had the foresight to build a handset base of LTE-supporting handsets back when its LTE network was still waiting for the green light to go online. This was a win-win situation for the subscribers of the carrier because they already have access to LTE handsets as soon as the LTE network of Sprint gets lit up.

The LG Viper is currently available for purchase starting at just one penny at select online retailers.

And now that Sprint is slowly but surely rolling out its LTE coverage, its subscribers can now fully enjoy and take advantage of these handsets in the LTE base of the carrier. The LTE lineup of Sprint has notable big-name handsets such as the Sprint Samsung Galaxy Nexus along with the HTC EVO 4G LTE. However, if you want to get your hands on an LTE-supporting handset without breaking the bank in the process, then the LG Viper 4G should be on top of your short list.

The addition of the LG Viper 4G to the Sprint lineup was announced by the carrier back in January but the handset only managed to make its debut in the shelves of the wireless provider in April. Since then, it has become one of the best-selling devices of the carrier because of its affordable price point. In fact, many of our smartphone-crazed brethren consider the LG Viper 4G as the best budget LTE smartphone offered by the carrier because aside from having impressive components and capabilities, the handset comes with a price tag that wouldn’t burn a hole in your pocket.

If you are interested in rocking an LG Viper 4G for your mobile weapon of choice, the handset is now being offered at Sprint-authorized resellers for as low as a penny. Of course, you will be required to sign a new two-year agreement with Sprint if you want to purchase the handset at its listed price. At this point, the two-year contract should be the least of your worries because the LG Viper 4G will give you the most bang for your back given its impressive resume.

Despite its cheap price point, the LG Viper 4G packs enough power under the hood and comes with a lot of bells and whistles as well. It has a dual-core 1.2 GHz processor that works in conjunction with a full gigabyte of RAM to ensure the smoothness of its operation. Although the internal storage of the handset is a bit measly at just 4GB, the LG Viper 4G comes with a dedicated microSD card slot in its chassis to enable a user to expand its onboard storage. Display-wise, the handset sports a 4.0-inch TFT panel with a 480 x 800 resolution while its camera department brings to the table a rear 5MP shooter and a front-facing VGA video chat camera.  You can buy the LG Viper 4G starting at one penny!
