htconeblackjThe HTC One has been one of the bestselling and most powerful smartphones of 2013. When the spec set was released for this handset back in late 2012, the mobile marketplace in general, and Android shoppers in particular, were more than anxious to get a look at this new smartphone. The handset still arguably delivers the most capable and powerful hardware package of any smartphone currently on the marketplace, and recently received three pieces of excellent news.

The HTC One 4G is available for a reduced sale price now starting at $19.99$0.01 – $539.99.

The first announcement concerns additional Google Drive storage which will hit the HTC One smartphone in the very near future. HTC Sense has been one of the more favorably received smartphone manufacturer user interfaces found on Android devices, and the HTC One 4G ships with Sense 5.0 out-of-the-box. Just this past week it has been released that the HTC One will receive an over the air update to Sense 5.5, and that upcoming upgrade will also contain the Google Drive storage boost.

But also on board the Sense 5.5 Android overlay upgrade, in addition to the welcome 25 GB of cloud storage space, is the bundling of Android’s 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system upgrade as well. In most cases Jelly Bean 4.3 will join Sense 5.5 in a bundled over the air delivery. Extra storage, a faster and smoother user interface and Galaxy Gear smartwatch support via Android 4.3 are all welcome pieces of news for HTC One smartphone owners.

HTC One owners in Europe have already begun to see the over the air upgrade, and as usual, a particular launch date can not be given for handset owners in the United States. Each individual wireless carrier supports upgrades on its own schedule, but at least the update has begun to deliver these wonderful upgrades. And bear in mind, the storage expansions come on top of the complimentary 15 GB of Google Drive storage space which is already on board the HTC One out-of-the-box.

Coupled with the built-in 32 GB of data closet space which is already onboard the HTC One 4G, this makes for a hefty 72 GB of possible storage in all. However, remember that you can only activate this promotional offering once per Google account. The HTC One 4G recently received a retail price downgrade, making the already popular bestseller an even more attractive option for mobile handset shoppers. An industry-leading pixel density of 468 color pixels located over each inch of display space gives the 4.70 inch screen a Full HD designation, with 1,080 x 1,920 pixel resolution.

The HTC One 4G can be purchased at a discounted price tag now starting at $0.01 – $539.99.
