In any smartphone ecosystem, updates are usually much-awaited because they bring improvements and enhancements to the devices they get rolled out to. However, there are cases when updates do more harm than good and this seem to be the case with the recent update that Verizon rolled out to the LG Intuition.

Apparently, the said update is wreaking havoc on LG Intuition handsets that the update was applied to. Users who managed to install the update are reporting that several apps are encountering errors. Not only that, some of them are no longer able to connect to the Google Play Store after accepting and installing the update. Others on the other hand are experiencing camera / gallery failure and so on and so forth.

One thing of note here though is that although some users have reported that they lost all of their contacts and images after applying the update, the user files are still present on their LG Intuition handsets. It looks like the bugs in the update cause the disappearance of the gallery and camera app but will not delete the data.

Sad to say, neither Verizon nor LG has something to say about the matter. One user however reported that a follow up update to get all of these bugs taken care of is set to get released on March 15. Unfortunately, without an official announcement from either Verizon or LG regarding this update make the information a bit fluffy and not set in stone so we advise everybody to take this with a grain of salt.

As for the LG Intuition, this is LG’s entry to the phablet category of the smartphone competition and is designed to compete directly with the Samsung Galaxy Note II. The handset reached official status when its addition to the Android lineup of Verizon was announced back in September. The handset also made its debut in the shelves of Big Red in the same month. The LG Intuition has a rather queer-looking form factor and it has dimensions of 139.7 x 90.4 x 8.4 mm and it tips the scales at 168.1 grams.

Under the hood, the LG Intuition runs Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich for its operating system and this draws power from the handset’s dual-core 1.5 GHz processor. This processor in turn works in conjunction with the LG Intuition’s full gigabyte of RAM in delivering the computing muscle required by the handset for a snappy and stutter-free performance. On the other hand, the storage space on board the LG Intuition comes up to a very generous 32GB but this is all you get for your storage needs because memory expansion is not supported on the LG Intuition. In terms of its display, the LG phablet sports a 5.0-inch HD-IPS LCD capacitive multitouch panel with a 1024 x 768 resolution while its dual-shooter configuration includes a main 8MP shooter at its back panel and a 1.3MP video call and self-portrait snapper at its front bezel.
