htconeverizonIf you happen to be on the market for your next handset of choice, we will not be surprised if the HTC One is one of your choices. After all, the handset is the current flagship device of Taiwanese smartphone maker HTC and this status simply means that users of the HTC One can be assured of a multitasking monster capable of blasting through any given task, even multiple ones at that, with relative ease. The HTC One is able to do just that because it comes with a formidable set of fire-breathing components in its internals. Not only that, the handset also boasts of a solid build quality thanks to its zero gap aluminum unibody construction.

The HTC One 4G is available for other carriers at a reduced sale price now starting at .

At the moment, the HTC One is already available in almost all major carriers in our side of the world. Those who have Verizon though are still waiting for news as to when the carrier is set to launch its variant of the HTC flagship in US shores. Looking back, Verizon in the past confirmed that it will stick with the HTC Droid DNA as the HTC hero smartphone in its lineup but still caved in to pressure and decided to release the HTC One.

The only problem is that since the announcement, details about the launch date of the HTC One in Verizon shelves have been pretty scant. Rumors had it at first that the smartphone will make its debut in early August but later on got pushed back to August 15. Last we heard is that the HTC One is supposed to land in late August.

Until today, that is.

Finally, we now have confirmation as to when exactly the Verizon HTC One is set to make an entrance. As it stands, the handset is due to hit the shelves of the wireless provider on August 22 and we got the confirmation from the carrier itself. Verizon made the announcement via social networking site Twitter and we quote, “Verizon #4G LTE + HTC One = Aug. 22 online and in stores for $199.99 on contract http://vz.to/19vvF3Y @HTCUSA pic.twitter.com/1w1MRO4uJ5.” This piece of news ought to make Verizon subscribers who have been waiting patiently for the HTC flagship to finally show up in the shelves of the carrier.

This waiting for the HTC One is not surprising at all given the fact that the handset is one of the most powerful handsets in the market today. It relies on its QualComm APQ8064T SnapDragon 600 chipset to power its operation while a quad-core Krait 300 processor clocked at 1.7 GHz gets support from 2GB of RAM in keeping the performance of the handset snappy and buttery smooth all the time. The handset comes with 32GB of onboard storage but it sadly doesn’t pack support for memory expansion. As for its display, the HTC One sports a 4.7-inch Super LCD3 screen with a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels while its dual-shooter configuration features a main 4MP UltraPixel shooter in its rear panel and a secondary 2.1MP snapper in its front bezel.

The HTC One 4G can be purchased for ATT or Sprint at a discounted price tag now starting at .
