The fast-growing Android community has often contemplated their list of which Android phones would rank higher than the rest. AT&T, a carrier that was slow to take to Android gadgets initially, has finally managed to accumulate an impressive range of Android devices for the holiday season. While deciding on an ultimate ‘best’ smartphone boils down to subjectivity, the top 3 Android phones can be narrowed down amongst AT&T’s selection of smartphones.

To start with the list, the Nexus 4. The Google Nexus 4 is the tech giant’s newest flagship phone and is available directly from Google. This Nexus device demonstrates the exceptional quality of the Android OS in its prime, devoid of all the heavy bloat and the needless amount of modifications that manufacturers have a tendency of adding. It comes with JellyBean, Android’s latest and greatest, and the Nexus brand ensures that the device will have direct access to software upgrades, directly from Google. It’s powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, quad-core 1.5 GHz processor and a non-removable 2100mAh battery pack. It does, however, lack memory storage expandability, which could be a deal-breaker for many Android users. Nevertheless, it is still one of Google’s finest models, and is available at AT&T for $299 to $349.

Next on the list is HTC’s upgraded HTC One X+, which took some of the best features of the HTC One X and improved upon them. The mediocre battery life of the One X has been somewhat improved upon by replacing the 1800mAh battery with a more resilient 2100mAh battery pack. Unfortunately, there still isn’t a MicroSD slot, though storage has been bumped up to 64 GB. The One X+ also comes with a faster quad-core processor and a bump up from the One X’s 1.3 MP rear camera to a 1.6 MP rear camera. The display is a 4.7-inch Super LCD 2 panel with 720×1280 resolution, matching the likes of the S III and LG Optimus 4X HD with respect to screen size. The One X+ is available from AT&T for $200 with a two-year contract.

Last but not least, the Samsung Galaxy S III shines through as one of Samsung’s most popular and successful devices in the market today. It comes with excellent battery life, dimensions of 136.6×70.6×8.6mm, a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED HD screen and Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean OS on a quad-core processor. The Galaxy S III has 64 GB internal memory along with a microSD slot capable of adding 64 GB more. This top-notch Samsung smartphone is available from AT&T for $200 with a two-year contract.
