htconeFor a handset that has roughly one month of sales under its belt, the HTC One smartphone has been selling crisply on the global level. HTC North Asia-Pacific Region president Jack Tong said just this week that his company has been receiving “overwhelmingly positive feedback from nearly every market” regarding the HTC One handset. Tong also stated it is his belief that global shipments of the HTC One will double this month from the last month. The phone was intentionally designed by HTC to elevate consumer’s audio, photographic and web surfing experiences, and recently received a retail price drop at select online retailers.

The HTC One 4G is available for a reduced sale price now starting at $49.99.

AT&T activation rates of the HTC One have been growing steadily every week since its release on April 19 in the United States, where the Stealth Black body color is one of the more popular choices. Aside from being a full-featured device which sets the bar high on many levels, the HTC One is also a “green machine”, receiving platinum certification by the independent testing lab UL Environment for containing environmentally friendly materials that deliver a minimal environmental impact.

The handset offers the capability to control your home stereo and television, and the Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2 operating system is present out-of-the-box. The phone receives a Full HD designation with 1,080P display, and the popular Facebook Home social networking application was released for the handset just last week. The HTC One arrives in a premium metal unibody design, and the Stealth Black version looks sleek and potent. The phone runs on a powerful quad core processor, and uses cutting-edge camera technology on its rear facing camcorder.

With more and more smartphones going to increased megapixel counts to impress their potential buyers, the HTC One delivers outstanding camera functionality with only 2.1 megapixels on its camcorder. This is accomplished by engineering an advanced CMOS sensor and ISP, and developing an optical lens system that reaches out and pulls in significantly more light than even those smartphone cameras with 8 or 13 megapixel sensors. Video capture on that rear snapper runs 1,080P HD resolution, and an extensive special effects feature package is also on board.

The large 4.70 inch display delivers an industry-leading pixel density of 468 pixels per inch, for 1,080 x 1,920 pixels overall. A full 16.0 hours of talk time is capable from a single charge, and the CPU is a quad core 1.7 GHz Snapdragon 600 chip. A full 2.0 GB of RAM memory joins a generous 32 GB of built-in storage space in the hardware package, and sound enhancement is delivered by the exclusive Beats Audio package. A front facing chat cam is also on board the HTC One, which delivers a built-in FM stereo radio with RDS display capabilities, pre-installed YouTube video player and dual front facing speakers.

The HTC One 4G can be purchased at a discounted price tag now starting at $49.99.
