If you happen to have Sprint for your wireless provider of choice or do not mind jumping to the Now Network and are gunning to make the HTC One your next mobile weapon of choice, the carrier is now offering the new flagship device from the Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer for pre-order.

Those interested in taking advantage of this can pre-order the 32GB version of the handset for its usual $199 price point but of course, you will be required to sign a new two year service agreement with the carrier if you want to take advantage of the HTC One at its carrier-subsidized price point. But, if you are a new customer who got snagged by the Now Network’s unlimited data, Sprint currently has a deal for new customers such as yourself that makes the move to their fold a whole lot more enticing.

As it stands, those new customers jumping ship to Sprint can take advantage of a $100 discount on the HTC One with the carrier’s “bring your number deal”. With this in play, you only end up forking over $99 of your hard-earned dinero and you get your hands on what could possibly be one of the more powerful handsets to be released in the market today. Of course, you will also be required to sign the same two-year contract as customary.

Bear in mind however that the Now Network is at the moment only offering the Silver version of the HTC One for the meantime. The wireless provider however has already confirmed that the Black version of the handset will also be offered at a later time. I guess this is the case with this version of the HTC One because this variant of the handset has been delayed in Europe where it isn’t expected to become available until the middle of April.

The HTC One on the other hand is the current flagship device of the Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer and will definitely be the primary competitor of the Samsung Galaxy S IV for domination of the smartphone market this year. The HTC One reached official status when it was unveiled by HTC at Mobile World Congress 2013 back in February and is expected to hit the shelves in US shores this April. The handset is one streamlined device measuring 137.4 x 68.2 x 9.3 mm and it tips the scales at 143 grams.

Under the hood, the HTC One is expected to ship with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean but this will definitely get bumped up to Android 4.2.2 in due time. A QualComm APQ8064T SnapDragon 600 chipset is responsible in powering the operation of the handset while its quad-core 1.7 GHz Krait 300 processor and 2GB of RAM ensure that the performance of the HTC One is always snappy and buttery smooth. The handset comes with 32GB of storage space while its display is a 4.7-inch SuperLCD 3 panel with a Full hD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The dual-shooter configuration of the HTC One is also very impressive with its rear 4MP UltraPixel camera and front 2.1MP front video call and self-portrait snapper.
