gs4If it weren’t for the Blogosphere, the internet rumor mill would not be nearly as fun. Sure, people trade chat sessions and e-mails back and forth contemplating which new popular smartphone will hit the consumer-electronics marketplace and when. But there is just something lasting and permanent about a rumor that hits a tech or smartphone blog. Whether it is true or not, it is viewable from your smartphone or PC for eternity. And a great number of technology and smartphone blogs recently are pointing to an April release of the much-anticipated Samsung Galaxy S IV 4G Android smartphone.

The Samsung Galaxy S III is available for just the change in your pocket now starting at $0.01.

Samsung has neither confirmed nor denied an April release of what no doubt is going to be the most successful Galaxy S smartphone to date. The Galaxy S line of mobile handsets has rapidly become the Apple iPhone of the last couple of years. The Galaxy S III helped Samsung pass Apple last year as the worldwide leader in overall smartphone shipments, and Samsung now owns a full 30% of the smartphone marketplace, trailed by Apple at just over 19%. Early indications are Galaxy S smartphone owners are becoming as addicted to their handsets and as anticipatory of each subsequent Galaxy S release as current iPhone devotees.

Several pictures have been released over the internet which give us a basic idea of what the phone may look like, if all interior specs and features are still not totally known. A number of rumors have reported “insider information” that a March announcement is in the works, accompanied by an “unpacking” event. Those same rumors do not name their sources, but point to an April launch of the Samsung Galaxy S IV.

And it is very easy for us to call the next Galaxy S handset the Galaxy S IV, but Samsung has not released an official name for the device. It is the belief of many smartphone analysts that toying with the name at this point would be unnecessary, and possibly costly. Apple has shown the intelligence behind simply adding a numerical designation behind each new iteration of a best-selling smartphone, but again, no word at this point as to Samsung’s intentions.

Both white and black versions are rumored, and the handset is currently “traveling” under the name of “Altius”, with a model number of GT-I9500. A 4.99 inch FHD Super AMOLED display and Exynos 5 Octa processor are said to grace the handset, with 2.0 GB of RAM memory, a 13 megapixel video camera, Android’s Jelly Bean 4.2.1 operating system and a Mali-T658 GPU also on board.

You can purchase the Galaxy S III at a discounted price tag now starting at $0.01.
