droidrazrmaxxhdVerizon’s Droid Razr MAXX HD now delivers the Android 4.1 operating system. Delivering an improved Google search system and Google Now, that new operating system upgrade makes for a smoother and faster overall user experience. The Motorola Droid Razr MAXX HD is a 4G smartphone running on the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE system, and launched on October 18 this year. Just in time for the National Football League playoffs is the exclusive to Verizon NFL Mobile application, and the handset is offered in your choice of black or white.

NFC (Near Field Communications) capable out-of-the-box, the Droid Razr MAXX HD is a slim handset at 0.37 inches (9.3 million). Also offering waterproof protection for the electrical components inside as well as the exterior of the handset, a special nanocoating joins a scratch resistant Gorilla Glass layer and Kevlar and aluminum framing to make for a durable handset. The Droid Razr MAXX HD delivers a large 4.70 inch display, with the high-end screen resolution at running 720 x 1,280 pixels.

Offered at a rate of 312 pixels over every inch of display space, the Super AMOLED screen uses more than 16 million different colors to render visual displays. You can port whatever is on your display to an exterior HDTV or monitor with either wired microHDMI or wireless DLNA video out options. Battery life is extreme, with an incredible 27.0 hours of streaming music available over the Verizon LTE network from a single charge.

That single battery charge also allows the 3,300 mA cell to deliver 13.0 hours of video playback, 10.0 hours of streaming video or 21.0 hours of talk time. The Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD 4G handset also charges in as little as 4 hours, and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus MSM8960 microchip package. At its cornerstone is a dual core 1.5 GHz CPU, and an Adreno 225 GPU handles all graphics processing. 1.0 GB of LP DDR2 RAM system memory is built-in, as is 32 GB of data storage. For further data access, a microSD slot is provided.

The camera combo on board the Droid Razr MAXX HD 4G Android smartphone is an 8.0 megapixel camcorder/1.3 megapixel chat cam package, with the chat cam offering video call support. That rear facing camcorder comes equipped with an LED flash and records video at a rate of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels (1,080p HD resolution) and 30 frames per second. The Chrome for Android web browser has been pre-installed, as have YouTube and Picasa applications.
