droidrazrmaxxhdThe Motorola Droid Razr MAXX HD has been a bestseller and flagship smartphone for Verizon ever since it launched on their 4G LTE network on October 18 of this year. Offered in your choice of either black or white, the handset delivers a security minded software suite in a thin, durable form factor. The handset also delivers extreme battery performance, a large high-resolution screen and high resolution video capture. And just in time for the holiday shopping season, Android Jelly Bean 4.1 has made its way to the Motorola Droid Razr MAXX HD.

The handset’s unique remote wipe allows you to erase the hard drive on your Droid Razr MAXX HD from any computer with an internet connection should your handset ever become lost or stolen. You can also protect and limit access with the personal identification number locking system, and the handset protects your sensitive personal information with government grade data encryption. The Droid Razr MAXX HD is slim as smartphones go, measuring only 0.37 inches (9.3 mm).

The rugged Razr MAXX HD is splash-proof thanks to a special nanocoating which protects both the exterior and interior of the handset, and the large 4.70 inch Super AMOLED screen is protected against scratching and chipping by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass. Resolution runs high at 720 x 1,280 pixels, with more than 16 million colors present. And with the DLNA and microHDMI video out connectivity options, you can port whatever is on that display to an exterior HDTV or monitor.

The oversized 3,300 mA battery delivers 21.0 hours of talk time from a single charge, and standby time runs approximately 15.5 days. You can also squeeze out up to 13.0 hours of video playback, 10.0 hours of streaming video and 27.0 hours of streaming music from a single battery charge when using the Motorola Droid Razr MAXX HD 4G in Verizon 4G LTE network coverage areas. 1.0 GB of RAM memory is built-in, as is 32 GB of data storage. A microSD slot is provided for storage expansion, and the CPU is a 1.5 GHz dual core model.

YouTube and Picasa applications have been pre-installed, and the Chrome for Android web browser offers Internet access out-of-the-box. The camcorder on the back of the handset is an 8.0 megapixel model, which is capable of 1,080P HD resolution video recording, and the front facing chat cam offers video call support. The Motorola Droid Razr MAXX HD Android smartphone has the ability to operate as a central wireless hub for multiple devices, and NFC (Near Field Communications) support is also present. The Droid Razr MAXX HD is currently listed at under $150 on contract during the Amazon Wireless holiday sale.
