Motorola designers have taken the extreme run time of the Droid Razr MAXX, coupled that with many of the features of the popular and super skinny Droid Razr 4G, and compressed the physical form into a more compact model. The Motorola Droid Razr M delivers a full 20.0 hours of run time from a single charge of the 2,000 mA battery on board, is still super slim at only 0.33 inches (8.3 mm) in thickness, and delivers a large 4.30 inch Super AMOLED screen.

The Motorola Droid Razr M is on sale now starting at 49.99.

But by running that display from edge to edge Motorola designers created a much more compact handset than previous Razr models. Overall dimensions run 4.82 x 2.40 x 0.33 inches (122.5 x 60.9 x 8.3 mm), and the handset is light as well, at only 4.44 ounces (126 g). Offered in either black or white and running on the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE system in the US, the handset is also attractively priced at under $100 on contract. Offering simultaneous voice and data access, the Droid Razr M has been available since early September this year.

The handset continues the rugged construction of previous Droid Razr models, with an aircraft grade aluminum frame and Kevlar backing, Corning Gorilla Glass scratch resistant display and nanocoated insides which make the device splashproof. As mentioned above the display is 4.30 inches, and resolution runs 540 x 960 pixels, delivered at 266 pixels per inch. Visuals are rendered in more than 16 million colors, and standard capacitive, multitouch gestures are used for device navigation.

The 2,000 mA battery on the Droid Razr M 4G LTE provides 17.0 days of standby, and continuing in the hardware package we find a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8960 microchip bundle centered around a dual core 1.5 GHz Krait CPU. An Adreno 225 graphics processor is also on board, as is 8.0 GB of data storage and 1.0 GB of RAM system memory. The on board microSD slot allows for storage expansion, supporting cards up to 32 GB in size.

DLNA capabilities offer video out connectivity, and a front facing chat cam provides video capture at 720P HD resolution as well as video call support. The rear facing 8.0 megapixel camcorder comes with a built-in LED flash, providing video capture at 1,080P HD resolution and 30 frames per second. The built-in music player filters by album, artist or play list, and a proprietary YouTube video player has been pre-installed. The Droid Razr M operates with active noise cancellation, contains a dedicated mic and supports multiple voice commands.
