Motorola designers have had an incredible run with their Droid Razr devices. The original Motorola Droid Razr 4G was the slimmest handset ever designed when it was released, the follow-up to that handset is the Droid Razr MAXX which delivers the most talk time from a single battery charge, and the Droid Razr M 4G takes the best features of both of those phones while compacting the overall size of the handset. Also running on the same 4G LTE Verizon wireless system as its siblings, the Droid Razr M 4G delivers Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 out-of-the-box.

The Motorola Droid Razr M is on sale now starting at 49.99.

The handset offer simultaneous voice and data access, allowing you to surf the web in the middle of a voice call. Offered in your choice of black or white currently, the Google Chrome for Android web browser has been installed, and the handset is upgradable to Jelly Bean 4.1 which Motorola has promised will hit all of their 2012 handsets by the end of the year. By stretching the 4.30 inch display from edge to edge, Motorola designers have allowed for overall dimensions of 4.82 x 2.40 x 0.33 inches (122.5 x 60.9 x 8.3 mm), and a lighter than average weight of 4.44 ounces (126 g).

The same durable and rugged theme is back from previous models, with an aircraft grade aluminum frame surrounding the display. Corning’s Gorilla Glass has also returned to protect the screen against scratches and chips, and the phone has been splash-proofed by a water repellent nanocoating. The same tough Kevlar back plate has also returned. That 4.30 inch display delivers 540 x 960 pixel resolution at a rate of 256 pixels per inch, and the Super AMOLED Advanced screen uses more than 16 million colors to create visuals. Standard light and proximity sensors are built in to automatically adjust for the proper brightness according to the amount of ambient light present, and also to conserve battery life.
