Verizon Wireless is currently in the process of upgrading their Droid Razr M 4G to Android’s 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, and has added Isis wireless payment processing support. Isis works like Google Wallet, enabling you to pay for your goods and services with your Motorola Droid Razr M handset at brick-and-mortar retailers supporting Isis. Android Jelly Bean offers features like Project Butter for a smoother and quicker interface, the Google Now contextual search and virtual assistant, and personalized info like local weather and traffic updates.

The Motorola Droid Razr M is available for a reduced price at select online retailers now starting at 49.99.

Verizon has also promised stability enhancements for their VZ Navigator app, as well as more reliable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. Currently, only 2.7% of all worldwide devices run Jelly Bean 4.1. The Droid Razr M 4G was released on September 10 in the US, and is available in black or white. Slim at 0.33 inches (8.3 mm), the handset is more compact than typical 4G smartphones. Also on the light side, the Droid Razr M weighs only 4.44 ounces (126 g).

NFC (Near Field Communications) support is present. Motorola designers achieved the compact design by stretching the display from edge to edge, and that 4.30 inch Super AMOLED Advanced screen delivers 256 pixels per inch. That creates an overall display resolution of 540 x 960 pixels, with more than 16 million different colors represented. The screen is protected by a scratch resistant layer of Corning Gorilla Glass, and DLNA video out wireless connectivity is present.
