lgoptimusgThe LG Optimus G 4G LTE smartphone arrived in the United States on the brand-new Sprint 4G LTE network in November of last year. Very favorably received in the US and Canada, LG hopes to build on the handset’s popularity and success in North America, launching their Optimus G to over 50 global wireless markets with 4G LTE connectivity. Dr. Jong-seok Park is president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company, and regarding the global launch, recently stated that with the Jelly Bean operating system and improved software experience, the “Optimus G will make a strong case for the title of ultimate premium 4G LTE smartphone.”

The LG Optimus G is available for a reduced sale price now starting at $49.99.

Widely regarded as one of the most advanced 4G LTE smartphones in the mobile marketplace, both consumers and industry analysts have praised Qualcomm’s advanced SnapdragonTM S4 Pro Quad-Core processor. And now that Sprint has launched a 4G LTE system in the United States, that powerful processor is perfect for that speedy network. The Optimus G will hit Singapore in January, and then begin rolling out to other markets around the world which offer 4G LTE service.

All of Google’s popular services are present on the Sprint LG Optimus G 4G, including the Chrome Mobile Web Browser, Car Home, Gmail, Maps with Navigation, Search, Shopper, and YouTube. And Sprint has thrown in their Sprint ID service, which allows you to customize your handset with apps, widgets and other items. There are 59 ID packs or profiles available so far, covering a wide range of interests like music (featuring CMT and MTV) and sports (ESPN, Fantasy Football).

The handset also offers an optional “Power Saver” feature which adjusts the settings on the LG Optimus G when battery power falls under 30%. The handset is slim at 0.33 inches (8.45 mm), and delivers a large 4.70 inch True HD IPS+ Touch Hybrid Display. Resolution runs 1,280 x 768 pixels, and the Optimus G is the first handset manufactured by LG to deliver Zerogap Touch technology. This removes the layer of air usually found on smartphones between the LCD panel and the exterior glass, making for truer colors, better viewing outdoors and in direct sunlight, and also at extreme angles.

A layer of Corning Gorilla Glass offers that display scratch protection, and the full 13.0 hours of talk time are achieved from a single battery charge. 2.0 GB of RAM memory are built-in, as is 32 GB of data storage. The camcorder on the back of the LG Optimus G 4G LTE smartphone delivers one of the highest megapixel counts of any smartphone, at 13.0 MP. That camera offers voice activation and records video in 1,080P HD resolution. The built-in music player offers Dolby Mobile sound enhancement, and a YouTube player has been pre-installed.

You can purchase the Optimus G at a discounted price now starting at $49.99.
