droidrazrmFor several years now we have become accustomed to wireless carriers offering smartphones to us for one penny. But usually, these are low-end feature phones that do not offer the all-around performance of high-end handsets. The compact Droid Razr M running on the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE system in the United States is an anomaly in that regard. Recently receiving a retail price reduction down to $0.01 on contract, the Droid Razr M 4G delivers a large 4.30 inch display, but issues that in the smallest possible form factor.

The Motorola Droid Razr M is available for a reduced sale price now starting at $0.01.

With displays getting larger all the time, our smartphones have unfortunately sometimes become large and bulky. However, by extending the display on the front of the Droid Razr M 4G from side to side and top to bottom, Motorola Mobility designers have delivered a high resolution display that is larger than the average smartphone, while also keeping the physical form small, thin and light. The Droid Razr M 4G measures 4.82 x 2.40 x 0.33 inches (122.5 x 60.9 x 8.3 mm) and weighs 4.44 ounces (126 g). That makes it is thinner, lighter and smaller overall than most other smartphones with 4.3 inch screens.

The handset hit the Verizon network in September of last year, and also provides global access to networks in more than 205 countries around the world. The edge to edge display is framed with aircraft grade aluminum, and the backplate is made out of tough DuPont Kevlar fiber. If you often spill your beverage, or use your handset poolside or at the beach, you will appreciate that the interior and exterior of the Droid Razr M are coated with a water repellent nanocoating. Corning has also added a layer of scratch resistance with their Gorilla Glass overlay.

The Jelly Bean 4.1 Android operating system is powering the handset, which comes with the Chrome for Android mobile web browser pre-installed and ready for use out-of-the-box. The Droid Razr M is also NFC capable, and the 4.30 inch display is a qHD Super AMOLED model with 540 x 960 pixel resolution, delivering 16 million different colors at 256 pixels per inch. That display accepts the standard capacitive, multitouch gestures for navigation.

The dual core CPU has been clocked at 1.5 GHz, and the 8.0 GB of built-in storage space can be extended via the onboard microSD slot. Talk time on the handset runs as high as 20.0 hours from a single, full battery charge, and video capture runs 1,080P HD resolution on the rear facing camcorder of 8.0 megapixels. The Droid Razr M 4G also offers a front facing chat cam, which is capable of supporting video calls as well.

You can purchase the Droid Razr M at a discounted price tag now starting at $0.01.
