applecolorsAn image that was leaked this week reportedly shows the new iPad 5 in the same colors that the iPhone 5S was released in just last week.  Most of the time if you see a leaked image of the new iPad, it is shown in a silver color with a white front panel.  The leaked image is showing that the newest part of the iPad family is going to be coming in the same Space Grey and Silver as the iPhone 5S, according to an Australian writer, Sonny Dickson.

The iPad 5 coming in a new color that will presumably replace the slate color, indicates that Apple is seemingly ready to release new colors, much like it did with the latest smartphone release.  For years Apple was holding to one or two colors for the iPhone and when the iPad arrived, it was the same thing.  The iPod Touch and iPad Mini followed suite and Apple was seemingly not going to budge on the fact that mobile devices can come in a variety of colors.  That was until the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C arrived this year.  Both of those devices came along in new colors like gold for the iPhone 5S and yellow, green, blue, pink for the iPhone 5C.

If Apple is going to replace the colors of the iPad 5, it will most likely also replace the colors for the iPad Mini 2.  In fact, a leaked image showed up last week that showed the iPad Mini 2 with a space grey colored case.  The new iPad Mini 2 is reportedly coming with the Retina Display, which will measure about 7.9-inches.  So far, the iPad has not been leaked in the color gold, but that does not mean that it won’t show up before the official release later this year.

The new iPad 5 will take some new colors from the iPhone 5S and the overall design for the larger iPad will be coming from the iPad Mini.  The iPad Mini design has been favored by many in the mobile world and it appears that Apple has taken note of that as it will be releasing the new products with the same general design.  The new design is slimmer and comes with tighter bezels revealing more of the display than models did in the past.
