With Mobile World Congress 2013 a big success and the smartphone-buying population getting treated to a bevy of new and more capable and powerful handsets expected to make their way to the shelves in the coming months, we again see carriers giving their CURRENTLY AVAILABLE smartphones price drops left and right. This is to ensure that they manage to get these handsets into the hands of their subscribers in preparation for the entry of the new breed of recently-announced devices at MWC 2013.

And with this trend, Verizon has already started selling some of its high-end devices at a discount and one of the more notable handsets in its portfolio of Android-powered smartphones that got its price slashed is the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD. The handset is the successor of the highly-popular original Motorola Droid Razr Maxx released a couple of years back and similar to its predecessor, the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD boasts of a massive 3300 mAh power pack in its chassis that gives the handset an incredible battery life unlike what we’ve seen in any smartphone in the past.

With this massive power pack, the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD is capable of giving you up to 21 hours of talk time on a single charge. In the real world, this means that your voice will already be hoarse and raspy from hours of talking and yet the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD still goes on and on and on. Not only that, the hours racked up by the handset in terms of watching videos, streaming music, or simply web browsing is significantly longer compared to what the competition (composed of other high-end flagship devices from other manufacturers) managed to achieve.

In addition to its incredible battery life, the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD also boasts of an impressive resume composed of fire-breathing components under the hood. It is also able to support the LTE network of Big Red so its user has access to faster mobile internet speeds thanks to Big Red’s very expansive coverage.

In terms of its price point, the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD is now more affordable than ever with the recent price drop the carrier gave the handset. You will still be required to sign a new two-year service agreement with Verizon though should you be interested in taking advantage of the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD at its rock bottom price point.

As for the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD, the handset relies on its QualComm MSM8960 SnapDragon chipset to power its operation while its dual-core Krait processor clocked at 1.5 GHz works in partnership with the handset’s full gigabyte of RAM in generating the computing power required by the handset for a flawless performance. The storage space onboard the device comes up to 32GB but this is still expandable using the microSD card slot of the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD. Its display on the other hand is a SuperAMOLED panel with a 1280 x 720 resolution while its camera department features a main 8MP shooter at its back panel and a secondary 1.3MP snapper at its front bezel.
