tmobileT-Mobile has already made the mobile carriers in the United States cringe with the new ways that it offers new smartphones to users without the threat of a two year commitment.  Since the “UNCarrier” has come forward and offered this deal, the other major mobile carriers have been rethinking the ways that they offer their data plans and smartphones alike.  Consumers are in the driver’s seat with deals like that and they are able to afford better smartphones with little upfront cost only to repay T-Mobile over the next 24 months.

Now, reports are suggesting that T-mobile is moving to reward users that switch from any mobile carrier to the T-Mobile network.  T-Mobile’s Uncarrier 4.0 campaign rumors have been floating around and suggest that the carrier is getting ready to offer users a reward for switching to their network.  The reward come with T-Mobile paying you the Early Termination Fees that you would incur when you switch.  A lot of times, mobile carriers have you locked into a two-year contract and the fine print will show you the amount you forfeit if you are choosing to break the deal with them.

T-Mobile sees that as an option to take more market share from the other mobile carriers in the country.  The deal will entice users and families that want to get away from a two-year contract and get new phones for all members of the family.  Because this is a rumor at this point, it is hard to tell if T-Mobile is going to confirm this deal.  According to one user that reported the deal, the deal is called “Houdini” and could reward users up to $350 credit if they switch to T-Mobile.  The deal even gets better if you trade in the phone from the other carrier.

Users that trade in the old smartphone, will be getting more credit for free involved in the termination of their contract once they “submit the final bill” to T-Mobile.  According to the one source, the deal is going to start on the 15th of January and in order to qualify users will need to trade in their old device and pay for a new one.  The credit for smartphones is listed at $350, while an old feature phone will get you up to $200 in credit.
