Where does the LG Optimus G stand in smartphone market? As of the moment, the Samsung Galaxy S III is still the undisputed king of the hill in the smartphone competition and no handset has come close to removing the flagship device of the Korean smartphone and tablet manufacturer from the top spot. This is not surprising at all given the fact that the Samsung Galaxy S III is one of the most powerful handsets currently available in the market today and even the flagship devices of other OEMs pale in comparison to the Samsung flagship.  Not only that, the Samsung Galaxy S III is probably the most popular handset in the market today and Smausng proves that by boasting that sales figures of the handset have already breached the 30 million mark in just 6 months of its stay in the shelves since getting released during the latter parts of May.

The LG Optimus G is available for a reduced price tag at select online retailers now starting at $49.99.

However, the Samsung Galaxy S III may already have its match because LG was able to come up with a superphone that can possibly fight the Samsung flagship head on. On the other hand, the handset relies on its quad-core 1.5 GHz Krait processor and 2GB of RAM to generate the computing muscle it requires for a snappy and stutter-free performance. Storage space onboard the handset is pegged at 32GB while its display is a 4.7-inch True HD IPS Plus panel with a resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels.
