The Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network in the US is home to the best-selling line of Motorola Droid Razr smartphones. One of the most recent entry into that successful and popular group of handsets is the Motorola Droid Razr M 4G. Arriving in September of this year, the handset delivers Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) 4.0 out-of-the-box, with Motorola promising an upgrade to Jelly Bean 4.1 by the end of the year. Able to access more than 205 networks around the world, the handset offers global connectivity. Select online retailers have recently lowered the retail price of the Droid Razr M on contract to a level generally reserved for low-end feature phones, despite the high-end features the handset delivers.

The Motorola Droid Razr M is on sale now at a reduced priced starting at 49.99.

Offered in your choice of either black or white, the handset uses an edge to edge display stretching design to allow for a much more compact and lightweight phone than is found on most smartphones with a 4.30 inch display. Overall dimensions run 4.82 x 2.40 x 0.33 inches (122.5 x 60.9 x 8.3 mm), and the handset weighs only 4.44 ounces (126 g). With a splash-proof nanocoating, Corning Gorilla Glass scratch resistant display, DuPont Kevlar back plate and aircraft grade aluminum frame, the handset returns all the durable features of past Droid Razrs.

The display is a Super AMOLED Advanced model which uses more than 16 million colors to create visuals. Standard light and proximity sensors automatically adjust for the proper brightness and help conserve battery life. Resolution runs 540 x 960 pixels, delivered at 256 pixels per inch. The handset delivers the second best talk time for any 4G LTE smartphone at 20.00 hours from a single charge of its 2,000 mA battery, just a notch below the 4G best 21.5 hours delivered by the Droid Razr MAXX.

The hardware package on board the device uses an Adreno 225 GPU to focus exclusively on graphics processing, freeing up the dual core 1.5 GHz Krait central processor to focus on your other requests. Those chips are part of a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8960 microchip suite, and 1.0 GB of RAM system memory has been built-in. 8.0 GB of built-in data storage are also present, a microHDMI slot has been built in for video out, and a microSD slot provides video expansion, supporting cards up to 32 GB in size.

The built-in music player filters by artist, play lists and album, and supports all major audio file formats. Up front facing the user is a VGA quality chat cam which offers portrait snapshot capability and video call support. And around back is an 8.0 megapixel camcorder capable of capturing video in 1,080P HD resolution, coming equipped with autofocus and Geo tagging features and a built-in LED flash. Popular online applications YouTube and Picasa have been pre-installed and are ready for use out-of-the-box.

Buy the recently released Motorola Droid Razr M at a reduced price starting at 49.99.
