A couple of days back, reports came in the Korean smartphone and tablet manufacturer Samsung is allegedly getting ready to release the Samsung Galaxy Note II in new colorways that include Amber Brown, Ruby Wine and Topaz Blue. If rumors are to be trusted though, it looks like the second generation Samsung phablet is not the only Samsung device that will see new colorways, but rather the Samsung Galaxy S III is rumored to as well.

The Samsung Galaxy S III for Verizon is available at a drastically reduced price at select online retailers now starting at $99.99.

Word on the street is that the Korean electronics giant also has a special treat prepared for the Samsung Galaxy S III where a special model designed specifically for the ladies in the house is in the offing. According to our source, the ladies-inspired version of the Samsung Galaxy S III will be part of the manufacturer’s La Fleur series and this variant of the handset will feature a design overhaul that include floral accents and pretty decorative elements in the handset’s casing.

In other news, the same source also intimated that not only the Samsung Galaxy S III will get released in this ladies-inspired La Fleur edition. According to our source, there are three other Samsung devices that will get the La Fleur treatment and these include the Samsung Galaxy Ace DUOS, Samsung Galaxy S DUOS and the Samsung Galaxy Ace II. The previously rumored Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 La Fleur edition however won’t get released, added our source.

Going back to the Samsung Galaxy S III La Fleur edition, it looks like the changes on the handset are mostly on the design and aesthetics side and the internals of the handset will remain unchanged and will be similar to the original version of the Samsung flagship device. No solid word yet as to when the La Fleur edition of the Samsung Galaxy S III will make its debut in the shelves but there are strong indications that this variant of the handset will get launched in January next year in time for Valentine’s Day.

But La Fleur edition or not, nothing can change the fact that the Samsung Galaxy S III is still one of the more popular handsets in the smartphone market today. This is proven by the 30 million sales figure racked up by the handset since getting released back in May and the upcoming holiday season only stands to add to the ever increasing sales numbers of the handset.

As for the device, the Samsung Galaxy S III in most territories is already running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean for its operating system and this is powered by the handset’s QualComm MSM8960 SnapDragon chipset with its dual-core Krait processor clocked at 1.5 GHz and a whopping 2GB of RAM. Storage space on the handset ranges from 16GB to as much as 32GB with an option for memory expansion made possible by the device’s microSD card slot. Display-wise, the Samsung Galaxy S III sports a 4.8-inch SuperAMOLED HD panel with a 1280 x 720 resolution while its camera department features a rear 8MP shooter and a front 1.9MP snapper.

You can purchase the Samsung Galaxy S III for Verizon for a significantly reduced price now starting at $99.99.
