gs5Samsung is going to be giving the public plenty to talk about when it comes to the Mobile World Congress event at the end of this month and reveals the Galaxy S5 smartphone.  In the meantime, the news for the mobile phone is loaded with rumors and speculation, with a couple of artist renders thrown in there for good measure.  This week, more details about the Galaxy S5 showed up online and it might have been enough for consumers to get an idea of what they are going to be getting with the new smartphone.

The device is going to be revealed on the 24th of February at an Unpacked event held at the Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona, Spain.  Many of the leaked details that have been arriving about the fifth generation smartphone are confusing some and that is typically because the details are not confirmed by Samsung so they are likely to be rumors.  Benchmarks have been leaked over the last couple of days that is what adding to the confusion.  The recently leaked AnTuTu benchmarks discovered by an online source are showing that the Galaxy S5 could be coming in 3 different models.

Over the last few months the rumors about the Galaxy S5 indicated that the company could be bringing more than one model of the smartphone to the market.  Much like Apple did with the iPhone 5S and the iPhone 5C, Samsung would be releasing a regular model along with a “premium” model of the Galaxy S5.  There is a good chance that there will be differences with the two models, but as of right now there is nothing confirmed by Samsung, or anyone else for that matter.  The benchmarks show numbers for model numbers SM-G900H and the SM-G900R4, which are reportedly variations of the Galaxy S5.

What the screenshots also reveal are some of the specs that consumers can expect when they purchase the new smartphone.  Coming to the market with Android 4.4.2 pre-installed, an 8-core processor, Mali graphics processor and a 2560×1400 HD resolution, the Galaxy S5 is easily going to impress anyone that takes it for a test drive before buying it.  Odds are pretty good the smartphone will come with 3GB of RAM and a minimum of 16GB of internal memory.  The budget model is expected to have less impressive specs, but could still be worth a look.
