galaxynoteiiiThe Samsung Galaxy Note 3 smartphone hit both Sprint and AT&T on October 4, and Verizon users should have the big-screen tablet/smartphone in their hands very soon as well. Big Red has given October 10 as a launch date for the device on their 4G LTE network in the US, and both Sprint and AT&T have also launched the highly anticipated Galaxy Gear Smartwatch simultaneous to the Galaxy Note 3 debut. The intelligent timepiece functions wirelessly in connection with the Galaxy Note 3 smartphone, allowing access to phone calls and other features.

You can purchase the Samsung Galaxy Note III at a slightly reduced price tag stating at $289.

While the Galaxy Note 3 delivers a slightly larger display than the Galaxy Note II, the handset overall is smaller in size than its predecessor. The first smartphone ever created with 3.0 GB of RAM system memory, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 delivers a Full HD display for the first time on a Galaxy Note smartphone. The camera has also been improved, and the Galaxy Note III 4G smartphone delivers the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system out-of-the-box. Overall the unit measures 5.95 x 3.12 x 0.33 inches (151.2 x 79.2 x 8.3 mm) in size, weighing 5.93 ounces (168 g).

The huge, high-resolution display measures 5.70 inches, with a resolution of 1,080 x 1,920 pixels. Pixel density is also high at 386 ppi, and that Super AMOLED display boasts more than 16 million colors when rendering visuals. Multitouch, capacitive gestures are supported, as is input from the enclosed S Pen smart stylus. Compared to the average industry talk time from a single charge running 11.0 hours, the extended life 3,200 mA battery on board the Galaxy Note 3 offers a more than generous 25.0 hours of talk time after a full charge. Standby battery power lasts more than three weeks.

A powerful quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 CPU is the cornerstone of the Galaxy Note 3 handset’s attractive hardware package, and has been clocked at a blazing 2.3 GHz. An Adreno 330 graphics processor is also present, as is the above-mentioned 3.0 GB of RAM memory. The device is offered in both 32 and 64 GB models, with the built-in microSD slot allowing storage expansion for cards up to 64 GB in size. Samsung has included a rear facing 13.0 megapixel camcorder with extensive special effects and customization features.

That rear snapper also delivers a first in mobile handset video recording technology, allowing you to capture video in 4K and at 30 frames per second. Most high-end smartphones now offer Full HD video recording at 1,080P HD resolution (1,920 x 1,080 pixels). The Galaxy Note 3 camera is capable of recording video in 3,840 x 2,160 pixel resolution, a significant upgrade to previous smartphone camera capabilities. There is also a front facing chat cam on board, providing video and Skype call support.

You can purchase the Galaxy Note 3 starting at $289.
