galaxynote3ven though the Galaxy Note 3 has only had the Android 4.4 KitKat software for a couple of weeks, it appears to have a couple issues related to the new software that more users are starting to report.  Samsung is aware of the issue and has acknowledged it as well stating that the bug will cause issues with third-party accessories that users might have connected to it.  Samsung just released the Android 4.4 KitKat software to those that have the Galaxy Note 3 and even though it is not a large update, a bug was noticed almost immediately.

The update caused plenty of disgust when users started to notice that third party accessories they had connected to the device just stopped working after the update was installed.  At first, many were reporting that the company did not want third party accessories used with the Galaxy Note 3, but that was quickly denied by the company.  Samsung also noted that the issue could have come from the latest update for the popular smartphone.  This week, Samsung has reported that the issue was, in fact, caused by the Android 4.4 KitKat software that was recently released.

Samsung told one online source, “We have currently identified a software compatibility issue with the Galaxy Note 3 update to Android 4.4 (KitKat) and select 3rd party accessories. A software update will be available shortly. We are committed to offering a diverse and reliable mobile experience for all customers, providing continued support and solutions for any issues that arise with product updates for both Samsung manufactured and third-party accessories.”  The company also claimed that a bug fix is on the way and that users should hold onto their third party accessories until after the update to make sure this fixes the issue.

The fix for the update should be added to all of the Android 4.4 KitKat updates that are coming up for the device until the next major update of Android comes around.  Typically, the international versions of the smartphones are getting the latest updates before those in the United States and because the update is not here yet, users have nothing to worry about.  The bug could delay the software release in the United States however, but that cannot be confirmed at this time either.
