motorolaMotorola has been in the news pretty heavily over the last few months and just a week after Google surprised the entire mobile industry and sold the Motorola Mobility unit, which it just purchased, to Lenovo for just less than $3 billion, there is little that can highlight the news from Motorola.  Nevertheless, Motorola is planning an event towards the end of this month that could bring new devices to the mobile market and that includes the second generation Moto X.  The Mobile World Congress event is coming up this month and the event invite sent out to the press states the Motorola event is scheduled for the 25th of February.

The Mobile World Congress event is going to be packed with all kinds of new devices and they should include the HTC M8 and the Samsung Galaxy S5 since both of those devices were skipped at the Consumer Electronics Show last month.  Besides revealing the date that the event will take place, Motorola did not go much further when it comes to what devices to expect or anything else that might show up there from the busy mobile company.

There are plenty of sources that are speculating as to what we will see at the mobile event held in Barcelona, Spain, but none of them have been confirmed just yet.  Of the devices that are speculated to show up there is the possibility of Moto X tablets.  The second generation Moto X is also likely to be showcased there.  Motorola’s CEO has teased about tablets in the past and if they are revealed, they could also be coming with customizations from the Moto Maker which is one thing that made the Moto X so popular.

The Moto Makers makes customizing your device very simple and offers 18 colors, custom trip and back cases that are made from wood and will certainly add a unique touch to your device.  Other sources claim that Motorola will be using the even to update the public “on the business” instead of going into the specs of new products.  Because Motorola did not mention much more than the date of the event, it is hard to assume what the company has in store for customers, but at this point in the game, there are few things that would shock the public.
