Dr. Frankenstein built his mythical monster borrowing parts and pieces from multiple corpses, and the Droid Razr MAXX HD borrows all the best qualities from the previous Droid Razr 4G models to create a skinny, durable, long-lasting handset with an extremely large display and HD resolution. The handset also delivers high-level security features, and an exclusive NFL Mobile application for all those football fans that are also smartphone shoppers.
The Droid Razr MAXX HD includes security features such as a pin lock and government grade data encryption that secures your e-mail, calendar and contacts. The handset also offers a remote wipe application that allows you to erase all sensitive personal and financial data on your handset from any computer with an Internet connection if your Droid Razr MAXX HD is ever lost or stolen. The handset is offered in black or white, and delivers Near Field Communications (NFC) wireless support out-of-the-box.
The Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) operating system is present out-of-the-box, and the handset is slim at 0.37 inches (9.3 mm). A special nanocoating provides splashproof protection, even coating the internal electrical components. The handset continues the Corning Gorilla Glass scratch resistant overlay tradition from previous models, and the familiar Kevlar and aluminum design is back as well. The Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD handset boasts the largest Motorola smartphone display at 4.7 inches, and resolution runs an extremely high in 720 x 1,280 pixels, offered at 312 pixels per inch.
More than 16 million separate colors are present on that Super AMOLED display, standard light and proximity sensors are built in, and both DLNA and microHDMI video out options are on board. The Motorola Droid Razr MAXX HD 4G replicates the oversized and extended life 3,300 mA battery found on the previous Droid Razr MAXX 4G, and the handset nearly achieves the 4G best battery performance of that device. A full 21.0 hours of talk time, 13.0 hours of video playback or 10.0 hours of streaming video can be enjoyed from a single charge of that battery.
The hardware package on board centers around a dual core 1.5 GHz Krait central processor, and a separate Adreno 225 chip focuses exclusively on processing all graphics. The Droid Razr MAXX HD arrives with 1.0 GB of LP DDR2 RAM and a smartphone best 32 GB of data storage built-in. A microSD slot provides storage expansion, and the rear facing 8.0 megapixel camcorder provides video capture at a high resolution rate of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels (1,080p HD). The handset also contains a front facing chat cam, and a proprietary YouTube video player is on board as well.

I’ve had many smartphones, including the four previous models of the iPhone. My Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD is by far the best phone I’ve ever had. The iPhone is an outstanding product, but for me, the freedom I get from a Droid that allows me to do so much more with my phone and a battery that just won’t die, makes my Maxx HD far superior for my purposes. I went to bed last night after using my smartphone moderately to heavily for 15 hours, including playing games, surfing the net, checking email, several rather lengthy conversations and listening to music at the gym. And I still had more than 70% battery life left! AMAZING!!!!
