The Motorola Droid Razr MAXX 4G Android smartphone provides speeds on the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE system up to 10 times faster than their previous 3G network. That handset also offers the capability of simultaneous voice and data access, allowing you to check your e-mail or browse the web in the middle of a voice call. The iconic splash resistant, Kevlar and aluminum chassis from the Motorola Droid Razr 4G is back, and the Razr MAXX 4G looks nearly identical to its skinnier twin, but with one important upgrade. The size and capacity of the battery has been improved by 85%, and the Droid Razr MAXX now provides the most talk time from a single charge of any smartphone.

The Motorola Droid Razr Maxx is on sale now starting at $99.99.

One charge of the 3,300 mA oversized, extended life battery on board the Droid Razr MAXX delivers 21.0 hours of talk time or 15.0 hours of video playback. The handset also delivers on its “max” title by offering 32 GB of user accessible data storage. That is the most delivered by any handset out-of-the-box, and is comprised of 16 GB built in and a removable 16 GB microSD card that ships with the handset. Even with that huge battery the handset is one of the skinniest found anywhere, and overall measurement run 5.15 x 2.71 x 0.35 inches (130.7 x 68.9 x 8.99 mm). The Droid Razr MAXX 4G weighs 5.11 oz (145 g).

The screen on board the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx 4G LTE runs 4.30 inches and delivers a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels. That is offered at a pixel density of 256 pixels per inch, and the Super AMOLED Advanced screen is protected against scratching and chipping by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass. Standard capacitive, multitouch gestures are used to navigate the device, and light and proximity sensors offer auto brightness adjustment and battery life conservation. In the hardware package on board the handset, a Texas Instruments OMAP 4430 microchip suite is built around a dual core 1.2 GHz Cortex A9 central processor. A separate PowerVR SGX540 GPU handles all graphics processing, and video out is provided by a microHDMI port. 1.0 GB of RAM system memory is on board, and the built-in microSD slot allows for storage expansion.

The handset also provides a rear facing 8.0 megapixel camcorder and front facing 1.3 megapixel chat cam. That rear device provides video capture at 1,080P HD resolution and 30 frames per second, and comes with a built-in LED flash. Features offered on the camcorder include touch to focus, autofocus, geo-tagging, face detection and image stabilization. The chat cam up front can also provide video call support, and a YouTube video player has been pre-installed, joining a built-in music player in the multimedia package on board the Razr Maxx 4G.

Buy the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx 4G now starting at $99.99.
