Samsung Galaxy S III: As of the moment, the league leader among wireless providers in US shores in terms of LTE coverage is still Verizon. This is no surprise given the fact that Big Red was the first carrier in our side of the world to light up its network which essentially gave it the head start it needs to grab that lead. AT&T on the other hand is on the second spot but still has a lot of miles to cover if it hopes to come close to what Verizon managed to achieve. Sprint on the other hand is at the third spot because its nascent LTE network only got lit up back in July of last year.

The Galaxy S III for ATT is available for a reduced sale price now starting at $99.99.

As for AT&T, the wireless provider has been pushing forward with its plan of rolling out and expanding its network to more markets. In fact, just before the end of 2012, we saw the carrier announce the lighting up of its LTE network in one market after the other – which is in line with the rather aggressive expansionist policy it has adopted. This time around, the wireless provider is continuing with the rollout of its network which means that AT&T subscribers with LTE-capable handsets such as the carrier’s version of the Samsung Galaxy S III will now have a wider LTE playground where they can take advantage of the carrier’s coverage.

As it stands, AT&T has announced that its LTE network will get lit up in several locations and similar to the case of Verizon in the past, AT&T is already at the point that its network already covers most of the major markets in US shores and is now expanding to minor ones. The most recent expansion saw the LTE network of AT&T get lit up in several markets in Michigan and these are as follows:.

  • Ann Arbor, Michigan
  • Beverly Hills, Michigan
  • Birmingham, Michigan
  • Monroe County, Michigan
  • Kent County, Michigan
  • Ottowa County, Michigan

As for the AT&T version of the Samsung Galaxy S III which you can use to take advantage of the blazing fast mobile internet speeds in the areas covered by AT&T LTE, the handset remains one of the best handsets you can get your hands on in the market today and is certainly one of the bestsellers over at AT&T.

The handset is already running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean for its operating system and this draws power from the Samsung Galaxy S III’s QualComm MSM8960 SnapDragon chipset which brings into play a dual-core 1.5 GHz Krait processor and a full gigabyte of RAM. This combination ensures that the performance of the handset is always snappy and buttery smooth. The AT&T version of the handset can be had in a 16GB model in terms of storage capacity but a user has the option to have this expanded using the handset’s microSD card slot if the internal memory of the handset is not yet enough. Display-wise, the Samsung Galaxy S III sports a 4.8-inch SuperAMOLED HD panel with a 1280 x 720 resolution while its dual-shooter configuration includes a rear 8MP shooter and a front 1.9MP snapper.

You can purchase the Galaxy S III for ATT at a discounted price tag now starting at $99.99.
