The Motorola Droid Razr MAXX Android smartphone burst upon the United States 4G LTE network of Verizon on January 26 of this year. Offering speeds 10 times faster than their former 3G network and a splash resistant, Kevlar and aluminum design nearly identical to its thinner twin, the Droid Razr 4G, the handset delivers the maximum talk time or video playback from a single battery charge of any smartphone. A single charge of the oversized and extended life 3,300 mA battery on board the device delivers 21.5 hours of talk time, or an alternate 15.0 hours of video playback. Single charge standby time runs approximately 15.8 days.

The Droid Razr MAXX measures 5.15 x 2.71 x 0.35 inches (130.7 x 68.9 x 8.99 mm) and weighs 5.11 ounces (145 g), making it one of the skinniest smartphones available today. The display runs 4.30 inches and delivers 540 x 960 pixel resolution. That is offered at 256 pixels per inch on the Super AMOLED advanced screen which is protected by a layer of scratch resistant Corning Gorilla Glass, and light and proximity sensors are on board. Standard multitouch, capacitive gestures are supported for device navigation.

The hardware package on board the Motorola Droid Razr MAXX 4G includes a microHDMI type D slot for video out, as well as video out and computer sync offered through DLNA wireless connectivity. 1.0 GB of RAM system memory is on board, and the handset has 16 GB of memory built-in.
