lgOne of the most popular browsers that is used on a Windows computer is the Chrome browser from Google and since it launched it has turned into so much more than just a browser.  Chromebooks showed up on the market and for the most part they are slimmed down versions of full sized laptops, bringing more exposure to the Chrome based operating system and browser.  Chromebooks have been selling faster than ever before thanks to a better design and lower price for consumers that are looking for something more robust, but still portable in nature.

Samsung and Acer were the only two companies that jumped onboard at first, but now that the popularity is there, companies like HP and Lenovo have been taking on the same projects.  HP brought the Chromebook for Everyone to the market with the Chromebook 11.  According to recent reports, LG is not going to let all of the other companies get into the Chromebook game while it just sits aside and watches.  LG has filed for three trademarks that will belong to Chrome-related products.  Those products include the ChromeDesk, ChromeOne and the ChromeStation, according to the online sources.

Two of the products, the ChromeDesk and ChromeOne can be figured out, but the ChromeStation is one that is bringing plenty of wonder to the mobile world.  Laptops have been affordable for some time, but if you are looking to save a buck, you are not going to get the performance that you want and that is where the Chromebook comes in.  One of the most recent announcements include the new Acer C270 and it is bringing the new Haswell Celeron processor to the market along with 4GB of RAM.  The C270 comes with an 11.6-inch display and a resolution of 1366×768.

The Acer Chromebook is going to be competing with the new LG models once they show up, as well as those that are coming from HP.  The HP Chromebook 11 is priced at just $279 and comes with an ARM-based processor and a 60-day free trial of Google Play Music All Access.  The HP Chromebook 11 weighs just 2.3 pounds and comes in blue, red, yellow and green.  Besides the 11.6-inch display, 2GB of RAM a two micro USB ports, the device comes with 100GB of Google Drive space when you pick up the free trial of Google Play Music All Access.
